Special Dust Free Enclosures with temperature and humidity control enable the Company to achieve manufacturing excellence in Class 1 nuclear island components. L&T manufactures reactor vessels, steam generator, pressurizer, control rod drive mechanisms (CRDMs), dummy fuel rod sub-assemblies, fuel transfer equipment, primary heat transport systems, heavy water upgrading columns and internals, high pressure safety heat exchangers, high and low level waste storage tanks, special equipments for in-service-inspection and thermal insulation panels.

L&T supplies Dry Shielded Canisters for spent fuel transportation and storage to the US and Europe.

Critical valves are supplied for nuclear application and balance of plant in safety and non-safety regions. The Company's electrical and automation business offers complete solution for control & instrumentation packages and low - medium voltage electrical switchgear.

Onsite integration and installation are offered for reactor main vessel, reactor safety vessel, end shield, calandria, coolant channels assembly and reactivity devices for new and operating plants. Life extension services for existing nuclear power plants include in-service inspection, remote maintenance and coolant channel replacement for operating nuclear power plants.

L&T has undertaken backward integration to indigenously manufacture heavy forgings, steam generator Incoloy U tubes, high pressure piping, castings welding consumable and special grade stainless steel components.
