Blackout masks Brazil’s investment
In a country the size of Brazil the distances that power transmission networks must cover pose enormous challenges. Despite a large and much publicised blackout late last year, however, the country’s infrastructure has overcome these challenges well, and investment is in place to ensure its future performance, as GDF Suez’s Antonio Gaivão explains to Jim Banks.
